Alex now lives in Toronto where is is scamming new people. He is also pretending to buy real estate so if your house is for sale in the Greater Toronto area, don’t bother showing him the property, he is just there to con the girl he is with and waste your time with a false promissory note.

In June 2008 we received so many tips through this blog that we were able to effectively bar him from Montreal. Alex left Montreal after running into A LOT of people who suddenly knew all about his scams. Unfortunately he is now the bane of the people of Toronto. But do not despair, send us your tips (see bottom). We have a very advantageous long distance plan to make courteous and effective phone calls to the people who own the bars and restaurants where he likes to defraud people. We ACT on tips rather than publish them here so use the comments if you want to tell it to the world.

Alex is in violation of his parole. A few days after getting out of prison in late February, Alex falsified documents to explain his absence and resumed lying, scamming and defrauding people. If you have a criminal case against him contact the local police.

Alex est en libération conditionelle et chaque semaine il fraude 2-3 personnes. Quelques jours après être sorti de prison en février il a falsifié des documents pour expliquer son absence et résumé son travail de fraude avec encore plus de vigueur. Il est supposé être en prison et chaque période de 48 heures à l’extérieur veut dire une autre personne fraudé de 500-1500$. Si vous avez une raison de déposer une plainte au service de police, faites-le immédiatement! Il se peut que la police refuse de prendre votre plainte mais vous devez insister. Mentionnez qu’il est un criminel en libération conditionelle. Qu’il y a déjà plusieurs plaintes sur le territoire de Montreal et que le montant total de ses fraudes excède $100,000 auprès de douzaines de personnes.

SVP: Envoyez-moi votre nom et numéro d’incident, qu’il soit récent ou vieux, on va faire un suivi pour que la Police de Montreal fasse un suivi sur les plaintes.

We wish to make Alexandre Huy Hoang Nguyen Quang so famous that he will not be able to scam people and businesses anymore. We are also working to make sure all the criminal complaints on the Island of Montreal are addressed one after the other so that he serves more than 3 weeks the next time he is convicted and sent to prison.

This is the third re-write of this page. We are sorry that the comedic tone of the previous page has offended some of the more recent victims of Alex’s economical destruction.

Alex works to:

• Takes money from you by offering great deals on Plasma or LCD screen.
• Offering you work at a fake club in order to get up-front money for a uniform.
• Gather ID or Credit Cards to purchase or rent cars.
• Get someone else to pay for the tools of his trade.
• Defraud his employers and colleagues.

He also uses business and personal disruption techniques to manipulate:

• Lie and pretend to own restaurants, property, be the son of a restaurant owner.
• Lie and tell people his father is a crime lord.
• Will take pictures and videos of acquaintances (especially beautiful women) and misrepresent them to others (as his wife, girlfriend, family, etc.)
• Pretend his mom, dad or brother just died to get sympathy, food, lodging.
• Call his marks mom, dad, brother or sister to create a false impression of closeness.
• Cause harm to a business through rumors or fake business deals.
• Offer fake jobs to get an acquaintance to quit their job.
• Talk teenagers into doing illegal things (Cash stolen checks, vandalize, etc.)

It is unclear why he enjoys disrupting and manipulating so much but we believe these tactics also serve the economical purposes stated above.

Alex works alone no matter what he may tell you. He is not your brother. He is not your son. He is not your friend. Alex is a “confidence” man and excels at appearing sincere, wronged and helpless. He has no known associates other than the older Asian man whom he calls dad and sometimes introduces himself as his uncle. While he has been contacted and confronted by some of Alex’s victims we do not know why he protects Alex. If you know Alex, please disregard any statements he makes about how his family is involved in drug dealing or “the mafia”. We strongly believe that this is not true.

DISCLAIMER
The actions detailed on this blog can be verified by at least two sources. We simply publish stories told by his acquaintances from 2005-2008. We do not publish ALL stories because many of his targets do not want their name or business mentioned however we follow-up on all leads in order to uncover new victims or targets. Not all of these people have filed police reports. Some are taking action in civil court.

We also collect what Alex says about himself, his family and his life. We collect documents written by Alex (resumes, hand written notes, forged documents.) We then try to analyze them and prove them as true. We have not been able to prove anything that Alex says or writes about himself as true.

Our goal is not to send Alex back to jail. It is up to the police to do that. We gladly collaborate with the police. The information that private citizens and the police collect about him has become so large that it deserves to be analyzed so people understand the how and why.

We deconstruct his tactics to write them in plain terms so people learn to protect themselves against disruptive scam artists. We are also using Alex as an example to teach teens how to avoid giving away their college fund to some guy they just met like many before you.

If you are currently “in business” with Alex it may be advisable to re-evaluate your relationship.

Alex says he is Vietnamese but was born in France. He speaks English, French and Vietnamese. He has no discernible French accent. He peppers his name with a new surname every time he moves to a new circle of “Friends”.

He gives his name as:

Alex operates mostly in a French-Canadian environment.

Alex modifies his name to:

• Make it hard to find his record
• Make it hard to find his credit history
• Associate himself with a cultural community (by adding a French or Spanish name)
• Impersonate another Alexandre (such as a Lawyer)

What Alex does is his full-time career, his livelihood and ultimately his legacy.

Just so we are clear:

• Alex is not a Lawyer*
• Alex is not an Accountant* or Financial Controller*
• Alex is not a Real Estate Agent*

* These occupations are regulated by a board or professional association and it is your responsibility to check the credentials of anyone who presents themselves as such.

So what does he do exactly?! Well it will take a while to go through his whole book of tricks. Consult his category to find out more.
