Alex’s “deals”: Looks too good to be true? You’re right!

Or: Alex’s “deals” : My review ![]()
So, I’m sure you all wonder, what did Alex promised to me, what “deal” did I get from him?
Yep, of course, the gold ol’ Tv “deal” . He told me that his uncle worked there and I was told that he told someone else that his cousin “works” there now. In both cases, we would get a “deal” for way cheaper than the retail store. He asked me if I wanted a TV, I told him sure, I could use one, like a 27″. He told me he could get a really good one for 200$. I never saw that TV obviously. I knew I should have asked for those sennheiser earphones too, crap!
Nope, no sport car for me!
He also got some of my money through a money deal.
Basicaly, he told me that his father needed cash quickly to close a deal and that I would get at least twice that money back. He asked for a 1000$, but I told him I could only get 500$. He was actually mad at me, for proposing to lend 500$ to him, can you believe that?! He then called his “father”, spoke in vietnamese I believe and when he was done, he said that 500$ would be alright anyway. I had to go work at that time, but he needed the cash quickly, so he picked me during my lunch break, with the help of another young guy, who had a car and we went to the bank so I could give him the 500$.
What else did he steal from me?
He stole many checks from me, one for 200.00$ that passed at his bank, one for 200.00$ that he cashed where we both worked and another for 600.00$ that he got someone else to cash for him. After that, I warned my bank, to cancel my checks, double-check the signature, told them all real cheques signed by me that were going to be cashed and to close my account afterwards. Of course, I lost my job over that, the owner was pissed at me and I got a really bad reputation from this story. So I cannot work in any of that retail chain store anymore and I lost a great reference for future jobs. Total: 1000$
He never paid his rent, but for the first month, where I paid it entirely and he gave me his half 3 weeks later or so…Two months or so after, he asks me to give him my half for the rent so that he could go pay it himself to the landlord representant. Then 2 weeks into the month, the landlord rep. stops me on my way out of the building and asks me where’s this month’s rent. I was mad, to say the least…
So, that’s 445$(My half of the 890$ rent) that I give him + 7 months unpaid by him(That’s 3115$) + interests, for over 4000$. We got evicted(for non-payment of the rent, since I could not cover nor wanted to pay his half and he was stealing me money in many forms)
Since the landlord couldn’t find Alex, they asked me to pay the balance! Like I got over 4000$ laying around in my back pocket! I refused to, because we both signed the lease and he did not pay his half and I refused to pay for him! Oh no! Total: Over 4000$
He needed a cellphone, so I signed up for a second line with my cell phone provider, for him. Got him a phone, with the options he wanted and bla bla bla. He paid the phone(with whose’s money I wonder) and then he barely paid anything for his monthly bills. Over 500$ in unpaid bills. I was able to discuss with my cell phone provider and get rid of the fees, which I was really glad for!
Just for the record, he also stole DVDs that I rented. Worth 58.00$.
So that adds up to over 5700$ that he still owes me to this day. It’s a good thing I’m not a Credit Card at a 18% interest rate per year eh?
So yeah…Alex’s “deals”: Looks too good to be true? You’re right!
Oh, and he also almost stole my family and Eva from me! Check out the next post for more on that ![]()
